About us
Simplymodern - Simply ceramics. No more. No less.
Simplymodern is the only gallery in Copenhagen devoted solely to Scandinavian quality ceramics from the 20th century. Our emphasis is on Danish and Swedish ceramics from 1945 - 1965. Situated in the center of the city, close to the Marble Church, we have become the meeting place for collectors and devotees of ceramics. During opening hours you can meet proprietor Jan Hartmann Dinesen or business manager Otto Földvary, both avid collectors.
Simplymodern also trade on the internet. On the gallerys website you can find most of our available items. The website is also a popular source of information.
Until now we have arranged our own in-house exhibitions, ranging from a debutant one presenting Christina Schou Christensen to a retrospective one showcasing Swedish master ceramicist Sven Wejsfelt.
From this year on, we will also participate and exhibit regularly at antiques- and design shows both in Denmark and abroad.
